“If you don’t like it you can go to hell” About Swedish Ballet (Les Ballets Suédois) in Paris 1920-1925.
When choreographer Jean Börlin meets the rich Rolf de Maré, it marks the beginning of a story about dance, love and ambitious dreams. For them there are no obstacles, and in the autumn of 1920, they head to Paris with their dance troupe – Ballets Suédois, The Swedish Ballet.
Over five hectic years, the dance company will push the boundaries of dance, and tour Europe and the United States. Their home stage of Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris becomes a hub for some of the most innovative artists of the time.
